Hello everyone, I have a strange problem and I can't seem to see anything that could cause it.
We have a network with a segment for client machines that uses a couple of Windows 2008 R2 servers for DNS and DHCP (all AD-integrated).
Now we can spice things up a little more by introducing WINS and WINS-R into the mix.
For the uninitiated, WINS resolves computer names to IP addresses (similar to DNS), and WINS-R provides reverse DNS lookups.
Our configuration is quite simular to yours, and the symptoms we are seeing appear to be the same as well.
